Majesty

Majesty, the clan specialty of the Daeva, is often compared to Dominate due to its similar role (a discipline useful for shaping the actions of mortal and Kindred alike), but is a generally subtler art – manipulating the emotions of your target, as opposed to directly controlling their actions. It has the advantage of being (on average) harder to detect, but suffers the downside of not being able to dictate specific actions.

  • Awe: Demands the attention of all watchers, giving you an advantage against them socially and distracting them from anybody else around.
    • Cost: None
    • Pool: Presence + Expression + Majesty
    • Action: Instant
  • Jaded: Adds 2 to your Composure for the purposes of resisting social effects (supernatural or mundane). Never applies to perception tests or frenzy checks, but does apply against Animalism 5.

  • Entrancement: Makes a target temporarily very fond of you.
    • Cost: None
    • Pool: Manipulation + Empathy + Majesty vs Composure + Blood Potency
    • Action: Contested
  • Summoning: Forces a target to come to you. Your pool will be rolled for you by the ST, so that you do not know how successful you have been. The target will know they are being summoned, but must make a test to know who is summoning them (their Wits + Composure vs your Manipulation + Blood Potency, unless you relent the test) or to know the location you are summoning them to (their Wits + Survival, 1 success needed).

    • Action: Contested
  • Sovereignty: Brings the entire room under your sway, preventing them from attacking you socially or physically.
    • Cost: 1 Willpower
    • Pool: None to activate; Presence + Intimidation + Majesty vs Composure + Blood Potency if someone attempts to defy the power.
    • Action: Instant to activate; Contested and Reflexive to defy.
